Jenny Solpietro started Howard County Progress Report as a blog with the intent to amplify progressive voices in Howard County and to present a more jocular take on local political issues and ideas. A Columbia resident with children in Howard County Public Schools, she is an advocate of public education, public service, and social justice. Ms. Solpietro has lived in Columbia for 15 years with her husband and children, and she spends her free time tweeting prolifically, reading, taking photographs, and practicing Krav Maga.
